California Trojans @ LTC
Lalor Tennis Club together with Tennis Programs Victoria is excited to announce that we will be hosting the California Trojans Tennis Team (University of California) as they train this Friday (18th January).
ATP pro player Steve Johnson currently ranked 34 in the world, played for the Trojans.
Head Coach Steve Austin (5 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS, 2 TIME ITA NATIONAL COACH OF THE YEAR & 5 TIME PAC-12 COACH OF THE YEAR) and assistant coach Kris Kwinta ( former ATP pro players) are bringing their 35 player squad all the way from California to compete the Aussies at the AO.
This team is currently one of the top five teams in the United States.
No 1 ranked player Brandon Hold will be participating. Tennis certainly runs in the family as his mother is Tracy Ann Austin Holt, an American former world number 1 pro tennis player. She won three grand slam titles, Australian Open and X2 French Open. She turned pro in 1978.
They will all be training at Lalor Tennis Club for the day (8am till 2pm).
Head Coach Steve Austin has been kind enough to extend an invitation to 25 of our kids to hit up with his players afterwards. Lalor TC Head Coach Antonio De Fanis and the club are so excited for this event and invite the community to come and watch this amazing team in action!
